Role: Lead Project Designer and Researcher (Spring 2024)

TEN THOUSAND VILLAGES

During my final semester at JMU, I had the joy of taking Social Media Marketing, a class that helped build my social media content creation and analysis skills. Across the semester, my team and I had to develop a Social Media Marketing campaign for a local Harrisonburg business. The business we worked with was Ten Thousand Villages, a retail shop that sold an assortment of fair trade goods and accessories. For our plan, we conducted a social media audit, a competitor analysis, and developed a full fledged marketing campaign that stretched across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. The plan was scheduled to operate from mid 2024 to 2025. Below are some of the deliverables I helped produce as well as photos I shot and edited.

OVERVIEW

Here are a couple highlights from our full marketing plan. We were given a $4,000 budget to cover over a year's worth of social media marketing. Based on our audience, we focused our marketing efforts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Ten Thousand Village shared a powerful testimony that we wanted utilize to help increase brand awareness in the community. 

My personal efforts focused on designing the Marketing Plan, developing target personas, auditing Ten Thousand Villages and their competitors, and then researching, developing and editing content for our campaigns. I led the ideation and development of our second campaign which focused on increasing awareness towards their mission statement and community involvement through earned media.
