Role: Team Researcher and Designer (Spring 2023)
COB300
During the spring of junior year, I had the privilege of taking one of the capstone courses called COB-300. This course is a 12-credit-hour core course that integrates finance, management, marketing and operations where students are placed in cross-disciplinary teams. The ultimate benchmark for this course is the business plan, in which our team ideates a product or service and in turn constructs a detailed plan of its financing, marketing campaigns, operational requirements, etc. Our business, called CyberPharma, created the Pharmasafe, a medication management system and dispenser with cutting-edge biometrics. I helped our group across countless functions, but as a marketing student, I primarily worked on the advertising and brand perception of our product through various channels and budgeted initiatives.

OVERVIEW
I was placed in group of six other business majors and we were tasked to conceptualize a business and product, create all financial & operational proposals, and strategize marketing efforts. Through our coursework, we were prepared and taught how to organize a business and develop a market disrupting product from scratch. Aside from my own knowledge in marketing, I gained valuable experience orchestrating accounting budgets, operational plans, and managerial practices that I can use in future opportunities. Through the course, I discovered how to be more adaptable, do quality research, and rely on a team rather than going for it alone.
